I was born into a military family right here on Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. I grew up below the pverty line otherwise known as the working poor but my parents fought their way into the middle class lifestyle. I believe that all Marylanders should have an equal opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families.
Joining my fellow Democrats in Annapolis, I have helped enacted legislation that invests in our small businesses, expands opportunities for workers, and breaks down barriers for Marylanders. I am thruelled that i have been able to help open doors to local and minority-owned small businesses and ensure every resident has the opportunities that they deserve.
It's time that we end the historic wealth inequities we see and build new bridges that give everyone the chance at a better life.
